Some of my inspirations as a photographer. The first, my favourite piece of music, was played at both of my grandad’s funerals. I drew it above my bedroom door and it reminds me of them everyday. The second reminds me of Russia, and when I visited the country in 2006 I became obsessed with their culture. Tchaicovsky is the most famous writer of Russian Ballet music and is also my favourite composer. Thirdly, I found a poster when on holiday in Spain in 2010 and it related to my ambition to photograph sound and music. Finally, found before I went to New York, I added this photograph to my collection of inspirations relating to my theme of “sound”. I’ve always wanted to visit the city as it’s filled with the things I love: shopping and broadway.
